From the Ground Up

Chloah Cards started in May 2026 as a side project with a simple goal: buy sports cards, sell them, and have fun doing it. I needed a hobby — this was it.

Like a lot of people, I don't have unlimited time to devote to cards. I'm building Chloah Cards around a full-time career, a family, and everything else that comes with everyday life.

That has meant figuring out from the beginning how to make the business work efficiently — how to find and buy the right inventory, research cards, price them, create listings, negotiate with buyers, package and ship orders, and manage everything else that happens behind the scenes.

What started as an experiment quickly turned into a real business. Within the first few months, Chloah Cards grew to hundreds of active listings and more than 100 completed orders. And I've learned a lot along the way.

There isn't one perfect formula for selling sports cards.

I've learned through actual transactions — buying cards that worked out well, buying some that didn't, holding out for the right price, selling too quickly, dealing with difficult buyers, navigating eBay authentication and disputes, experimenting with shipping methods, and constantly adjusting how I source and price inventory.

My approach is pretty simple: the numbers have to make sense.

What is a card actually selling for? How strong is the market for it? What can I realistically sell it for? How much room do I need when buying it? Is it worth waiting for the right buyer, or would I rather sell it and put that money back into new inventory?

Those are the kinds of decisions that go into Chloah Cards every day.

Chloah Cards is still growing, and this website is intended to grow with it.

Along with trying to generate traffic for cards available for sale, I'm using this site to document what I'm learning while building the business — from sourcing and pricing to eBay listings, shipping, negotiations, inventory management, and the mistakes I've made along the way.

I'm not approaching this as someone who has been running a massive card business for decades. I'm building it now, figuring out what works, and sharing what I learn in the process.

Over time, I'll be adding practical guides, resources, templates, and tools for other people interested in selling sports cards — whether the goal is to make some extra money from the hobby or build a card business of their own.
